Raynora partners with Participate Energy (the tax equity firm that makes the 30% pass-through possible) and Credit Human (for AURA+ loan financing). Raynora handles everything else end-to-end.

What is the difference between AURA and AURA+?

Cash Buyers: The 30% pass-through benefit is always applied as an Upfront Discount. Financing Customers: AURA Standard applies the 30% as an upfront discount to lower the loan balance, for the lowest possible monthly payment. AURA+ pays the 30% out to you as a Cash Back Check, subject to financing approval.

How is my AURA+ cash back amount calculated?

Your total AURA+ cash-back equals 30% of your Total Contract Price, paid in two checks. Check 1 is 5% of your Total Contract Price (timing depends on loan type). Check 2 is 25% of your Total Contract Price, issued approximately 45 days after System Activation (PTO). Example: on a $35,000 system, Check 1 = $1,750 and Check 2 = $8,750, for a total of $10,500 returned in cash.

How does the AURA+ payment timeline work?

Lite Loan timeline: (1) Sign and Draw — loan funds, interest starts, first payment due approximately 45 days from draw. (2) Site Survey — Check 1 (5%) paid immediately after funding, before installation, to help cover early loan payments. (3) Installation — Raynora completes panels, inverter, and battery; city inspection passed. (4) PTO — utility grants Permission to Operate. (5) Check 2 (25%) arrives approximately 45 days after PTO — apply to loan, reamortize, payment drops permanently. How is the AURA+ Cash Back Check paid?

Fixed Loan: 5% after installation, 25% approximately 45 days after PTO. Lite Loan: 5% after site survey, 25% approximately 45 days after PTO. Checks issued by Freedom Forever under the Additional Financing Agreement.

Can I use AURA℠ on a rental, Airbnb, VRBO, or second home?

Yes. AURA℠ is available on owner-occupied primary residences, rental properties (long-term tenants), vacation homes including Airbnb and VRBO short-term rentals, second homes, and condos where the owner controls the roof. Ground mount systems are not currently eligible. The property must have a qualifying roof and be served by an eligible utility. For investment and rental properties, AURA℠ is particularly valuable: the 30% pass-through benefit reduces your system cost on day one, lowering your break-even while the property continues generating rental income. Do I get paid for Grid Services (Virtual Power Plant)?

Yes. If your system is enrolled in a Grid Services program (VPP), you receive 30% to 70% of the net proceeds. After the optional Year 6 ownership buyout, you retain 100% of all Grid Services revenue.

Q: What is AURA℠ Next-Gen Solar?

AURA is a Prepaid Lease-to-Own structure designed to maximize your solar savings through a Federal Solar Tax Credit Pass-Through. With the 30% federal tax credit shifting to commercial leasing companies in 2026, AURA allows our financing partner to monetize that credit and pass 100% of the value directly back to you, subject to financing approval. You can choose to receive this 30% pass-through benefit as an upfront discount on your system cost, or as a cash-back check if you finance. Ownership Option: You have the voluntary option to purchase the system starting on the 6th anniversary. The buyout price is Fair Market Value minus the System Owner's remaining obligations — typically at or near $0.00. Home sale results in free lease transfer.

Q: Is there a lien placed on my home?

No. There is no lien on your real estate property. The System Owner files a UCC-1 Fixture Filing, which is a public notice that they own the solar equipment (personal property), not your home. Your real property title remains completely unencumbered throughout the AURA℠ lease term.

Q: When do I officially own the system?

You have the voluntary option to take full legal title starting on the 6th Anniversary of installation, and on any anniversary after that. Home sale does not require a buyout — the lease transfers freely to the new buyer. After you purchase: you own the system outright, retain 100% of all Grid Services revenue, and all remaining warranties transfer to you.

The federal government's 30% solar tax credit still exists — it just moved. As of January 2026, only commercial leasing companies can claim it. AURA℠ is Raynora's solution that captures that credit and passes the full 30% directly back to you — either as an upfront discount on your system cost or as a cash-back check.

Why two dates? The ITC legally expires Dec 31, 2027 — but your system must be fully installed and grid-activated (PTO) before that date. With permitting and installation typically taking 90–180 days, starting after July 2027 creates real risk of missing the window entirely.

No phase-down. The 30% ITC drops from 30% to 0% on January 1, 2028 — no gradual reduction, no partial credit, no extensions currently planned by Congress.

AURA℠ is the only residential path. As of January 1, 2026, homeowners who own their system outright can no longer claim the ITC. Section 48E is now exclusively claimable by commercial entities — and AURA℠ passes 100% of that benefit directly back to you.

Because it operates as a prepaid lease, the system is fully funded on day one — either by paying cash or, more commonly, by using one of our specialized, low-payment solar loans.

Ownership Option: You have the voluntary option to purchase the system starting on the 6th anniversary. The buyout price is determined by the Fair Market Value (FMV) of the system minus the value of the System Owner’s remaining obligations — a calculation that often results in a transfer cost at or near $0.00 (and never less than $0.00). If there is ever a disagreement regarding the FMV, an independent third-party appraisal can be requested at Participate Energy’s cost. If you sell your home before Year 6, the lease transfers freely to the new owner — no buyout required.

The core distinction depends on your payment method:

Heads up on timing (Lite Loan): Your first payment is due approximately 45 days from the draw — before installation is even complete. Your 5% check arrives right away after funding to help offset those early payments. By the time Check 2 lands (~45 days after PTO), you'll have the full amount available to reamortize and lock in your lower payment permanently.

This payout schedule applies only if you have selected the AURA+ option and have been approved for financing. The timing depends on your loan type:

Fixed Loan: 5% is paid after Installation complete, and the remaining 25% is paid approx. 45 days after System Activation (PTO).
Lite Loan: Because this loan funds early, the 5% is released immediately after the Site Survey — ideal for covering initial loan payments. The remaining 25% is paid approx. 45 days after Activation (PTO).

Cash-back checks are issued by Freedom Forever under the Additional Financing Agreement. If any portion of the funds received from the tax equity partner are reversed or clawed back, the agreement requires the customer to return the affected check amount. This provision is detailed in the financing agreement provided at signing.

2. Reward Eligibility & Timelines (Administrative Deadlines) Every Raynora solar installation is eligible for a vacation reward. To ensure administrative validation, the following deadlines apply: • The 3-Day Bonus: To receive the Standard Essentials Package at no cost, your solar agreement must be finalized within 3 business days of the final proposal issued. If a design revision is requested, the 3-day window resets upon the delivery of the updated proposal. • Premier Upgrade Deadline: The $89 Premier Track fee must be paid prior to signing your solar agreement. Once a contract is executed, the project track is finalized. We cannot process Premier upgrades or airfare packages once the solar agreement is in effect. • Stipend Policy: Hotel stipends ($100 Attendance / $50 Usage) are “Early-Action” incentives. 3. Premier Fee & Project Scope Non-Refundable Policy: The $89 Premier Track fee is a non-refundable Administrative & Design fee. This fee covers the custom project modeling, engineering site-prep, and incentive processing costs. It is not refundable regardless of project status, cancellation, or financing outcomes. • One-to-One Redemption: Rewards are limited to one claim per system installed. Additional properties require a separate Premier booking/fee. • Rescheduling Policy: You are allowed one (1) complimentary reschedule. Missed appointments or a second reschedule request result in forfeiture of the appointment and fee.
4. Installation Bonus Terms All Vacation Certificates are “Installation Bonuses” and are conditional upon the successful installation and activation (PTO) of a solar system.
