The credit moved

Commercial owners claim it.

Section 25D expired at the end of 2025. The 30% federal credit still exists as Section 48E — claimable only by a commercial owner.

  • Buying outright has no federal credit. On a residence in 2026, cash or a third-party loan cannot claim the 30%.
  • AURA is the lease-to-own path. A commercial owner holds the system and claims Section 48E.
  • You never claim the credit yourself. The system owner does. Your benefit is in the structure.

Reward terms & eligibility

1. Vacation package details & costs

Standard "Essentials" Package (~$1,800 value). Includes your choice of a 7-night resort condo stay, a 3–5 night cruise, or a 4-night hotel stay (accommodation only).

Traveler responsibility: A refundable reservation deposit ($150) is required to book. Traveler is responsible for government taxes and carrier fees (starting at approx. $145–$249 depending on destination/package) and transportation to the departure point.

Premier "Premium Airfare" Package (~$2,600 value). Includes all options in the Essentials package, upgraded to include airfare assistance ($500 credit or roundtrip Vegas flights).

Traveler responsibility: A refundable reservation deposit ($100) is required to book. Traveler is responsible for government taxes and carrier fees (starting at approx. $138–$249 per person). Airfare credit applies to base fare; taxes on flights are extra.

2. Reward eligibility & timelines

Every Raynora solar installation is eligible for a vacation reward. To ensure administrative validation, the following deadlines apply:

  • The 3-Day Bonus. To receive the Standard Essentials Package at no cost, your solar agreement must be finalized within 3 business days of the final proposal issued. If a design revision is requested, the 3-day window resets upon the delivery of the updated proposal.
  • Premier Upgrade Deadline. The $89 Premier Track fee must be paid prior to signing your solar agreement. Once a contract is executed, the project track is finalized. We cannot process Premier upgrades or airfare packages once the solar agreement is in effect.
  • Stipend Policy. Hotel stipends ($100 attendance / $50 usage) are "early-action" incentives. They are issued once per household and only apply to the initial consultation. Upgrades purchased after the first meeting but before signing remain eligible for the Premier vacation reward.

3. Premier fee & project scope

  • Non-refundable policy. The $89 Premier Track fee is a non-refundable Administrative & Design fee. This fee covers the custom project modeling, engineering site-prep, and incentive processing costs. It is not refundable regardless of project status, cancellation, or financing outcomes.
  • One-to-one redemption. Rewards are limited to one claim per system installed. Additional properties require a separate Premier booking/fee.
  • Rescheduling policy. You are allowed one (1) complimentary reschedule. Missed appointments or a second reschedule request result in forfeiture of the appointment and fee.

4. Installation bonus terms

All vacation certificates are "installation bonuses" and are conditional upon the successful installation and activation (PTO) of a solar system. Rewards are not issued for canceled projects. Registration must occur within 6 months of the issue date. Reservations require at least 30 days advance notice. (See certificate for full blackout dates and booking rules.)

5. Referral program policies

Referral rewards are strictly conditional upon the referred homeowner purchasing and completing a solar installation (PTO).

  • Standard Track. Earns a $250 hotel gift card per installed referral.
  • Premier Track. Earns the Standard "Essentials" certificate (~$1,800 value) per installed referral. Referrer must hold active Premier Status (paid fee) at the time of referral submission.

Rewards are issued following the successful installation/PTO of the referred system. Self-referrals or existing leads are not eligible. Limited to 8 referrals per year.

Customer paperwork will not show a separate 30% federal line item. Qualifying American-made (domestic content) equipment can increase the credit’s value; details on your consult.

You have a voluntary purchase option starting on the 6th anniversary of installation, and on any anniversary after that.

The price is fair market value minus the system owner’s remaining obligations, with a floor of $0. If the parties disagree, a third-party appraiser decides. This is an option, not a promised near-free transfer.

— 05 Can American-made equipment change the credit?

Qualifying American-made (domestic content) equipment can increase the credit’s value. Whether and how that extra value is reflected in your price is confirmed on your consult — we do not publish a tier table.

— 06 Does AURA require financing?

AURA is a prepaid lease-to-own structure. Many homeowners finance the prepaid obligation; terms depend on approval and are confirmed on your consult. We do not publish named loan products or rate schedules here.

— 07 What is a SPAN smart panel?

A SPAN smart panel replaces a standard home electrical service panel with a connected, circuit-by-circuit controllable system. It tracks energy use in real time, prioritizes loads during outages or peak rates, and orchestrates solar, battery, and EV charging from one place. Raynora installs SPAN panels as an optional upgrade in select markets, and homes with a SPAN panel installed are positioned for XFRA, the residential AI compute network from SPAN, Nvidia, and PulteGroup launching in 2027.

— 08 Can I use AURA℠ on a rental, Airbnb, VRBO, or second home?

Yes. AURA℠ is available on owner-occupied primary residences, rental properties (long-term tenants), vacation homes including Airbnb and VRBO short-term rentals, second homes, and condos where the owner controls the roof.

For investment and rental properties, AURA is particularly valuable: the 30% pass-through reduces your system cost on day one, lowering your break-even while the property keeps generating rental income. The lease transfers freely to any new owner if you sell.

Not eligibleGround-mount systems aren’t currently supported. The property must have a qualifying roof and be served by an eligible utility. Call 1-844-RAYGRID to confirm your specific property qualifies.

— 09 Is there a lien placed on my home?

No. There is no lien on your real estate property. The System Owner files a UCC-1 Fixture Filing, which is a public notice that they own the solar equipment (personal property), not your home.

Your real property title remains completely unencumbered throughout the AURA℠ lease term.

— 10 When do I officially own the system?

You have the voluntary option to take full legal title starting on the 6th anniversary of installation, and on any anniversary after that.

Selling your home?No buyout required. The lease transfers freely to the new buyer. The Year 6 ownership option simply continues to exist for them as well.

After purchaseYou own the system outright, remaining workmanship warranties transfer to you.

— 11 Do I get paid for Grid Services (Virtual Power Plant)?

Where a program is offered. Grid Services (also called a Virtual Power Plant) is optional, program-dependent, and revenue-shared. Enrollment and split, if any, are set by the program — we do not promise income.

The system owner monitors and maintains the system for the full 25-year solar term. Workmanship warranty is 10 years. Every install includes a 10-year roof penetration warranty.
